The timing

Many people contact us with the expectation of starting their project as soon as possible. We acknowledge that you may have a big party planned or that you want to get your kids moved in before school starts, however, major remodeling projects take time to plan and complete correctly. A number of factors can influence how long a project takes, including:

  • Design and selections

If you're remodeling your basement, bathroom, or kitchen, one thing is certain: you'll have to make a lot of decisions. Flooring, colors, appliances, and fixtures are only a few examples. These are big, expensive, and difficult decisions that can take days to months to make, depending on how decisive our clients are. So, while some people know exactly what they want, we also know that this phase can take a long time for some clients to make a decision and sign off on a selection. A variety of other aspects, such as cost and availability, can add time to this phase, forcing you to go back to the drawing board and waste even more time.

  • Permits

Every city and township is unique, but getting this phase started takes time because we need completed drawings... then send them in... Then you'll have to wait for some questions from the area... Then you must wait for the approval.

  • Proposals and estimates

This process consumes a considerable amount of time, including back-and-forth communications to arrange a time to speak on the phone and then meet in person at your home. Then it will be time to build the calculation, which will be followed by a meeting to discuss it. Following that is the final proposal, which you will undoubtedly need to consider carefully before signing if Legacy is the right fit for you.

  • Cabinets

If your project involves cabinetry, such as a basement bar, kitchen, or even a bathroom vanity, keep in mind that it can take up to 6 weeks to receive these cabinets after you place your order (which does not include the phase before; designing the cabinet layout)

Our boundaries are in place to ensure that we can offer outstanding service to each and every one of our clients. We've gotten to know the cities and towns where we currently operate, and they've gotten to know us. This is significant because they have faith in us as a trustworthy organization, which aids in the permit and inspection process.

The most important reason for having our service area close to our home office is to ensure that we can respond quickly to a project and resolve any issues that might arise.
